How BRAINSTORM Online works
How can I change my account settings?

You can change your BRAINSTORM Online username, password, email, language, notifications, etc. in the Account/Profile section of the platform, which can be found through the Facilitator menu. To access the facilitator menu, click on the user icon in the upper right corner of the dashboard and select “Account/Profile”.

What's included in the Free Trial?

BRAINSTORM Online offers registered users a one month free trial of their platform with the Spark plan. Details can be found on the Plans page  of this website. Credit card details are required to sign up to the free trial.

How can others join my BRAINSTORM Online account?

You can invite people to join in your brainstorming sessions by sending an invite which you’ll be prompted to do once you’ve finished creating a session. However, others can only be added as participants, not facilitators.

How can I manage my subscription?

To manage your BRAINSTORM Online subscription, including your plan tier and billing cycle, visit your profile and click Account. To access this option, click on your user icon, which will open the facilitator menu.

On the Account page, you can see which plan you are currently on (e.g. Spark/Strike/Ignite) and the features included in your subscription.

You will also find options to upgrade or unsubscribe from your plan on the Account page. (Free trials on the Spark plan will be automatically upgraded to paid subscriptions on the Strike plan after 30 days, with the first month billed at half price. To avoid being automatically upgraded and charged, you must cancel your subscription by the last day of the free trial.)

How can I cancel, delete, or close my account?

Please note unsubscribing from your plan is not the same as closing your account. Both actions will stop your billing, preventing new charges, but the second option deletes you from the platform.

Unsubscribing from your plan allows you to retain your saved brainstorms and preserves your profile, ensuring your brainstorms are waiting for you should you resubscribe in the future.

Closing your account removes your login access, brainstorms and personal details from the BRAINSTORM Online platform. As a result, if you resubscribe to BRAINSTORM Online in the future you will not be able to regain access to your past brainstorms and will have to create a new profile.

If you wish to stop being billed for your plan but would like to retain your past brainstorms, simply use the unsubscribe option available on your Account page. See “How can I manage my subscription?” on this page for more details on unsubscribing.

What is BRAINSTORM Online?

BRAINSTORM Online is collaborative software for conducting group brainstorms online. It can be used with participants gathered in a room or connecting from multiple locations. With BRAINSTORM Online, professionals, educators, and students can all master the magic of creative collaboration to generate great ideas quickly.

How to get started with an online brainstorming session?

With BRAINSTORM Online, you can quickly and easily get started with an online brainstorming session. Their intuitive platform seamlessly walks you through each step, and its built-in functions make keeping everyone engaged and on-track a breeze. With BRAINSTORM Online, you can invite team members from anywhere to collaborate and launch your sessions at any time. It only takes 4 simple steps to create a new brainstorm:

  1. Fill in your brief, selecting an overarching objective from the list provided.
  2. Select modules, to build your session.
  3. Pick methodologies to help you customize your modules’ questions.
  4. Review, schedule, and invite participants to your session.
How many people can participate in a brainstorming session?

The number of people that can participate in a BRAINSTORM Online session depends on your plan. Details for each plan can be found on the Plans page.

How long does it take to set up a brainstorming session?

On average it takes about 20 min, but it also depends on the number of methodologies and modules you select – some will take longer to customize to your needs than others.

Can I download the BRAINSTORM Online app on iOS and Google Play?

Not yet. BRAINSTORM Online’s mobile app is still under development, but the web app is accessible via iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Android devices. However, please note that facilitators will need access to a laptop, or PC to create their sessions as features and functions are limited on mobile devices.

Can I customize my brainstorm session?

Yes. One of BRAINSTORM’s exciting features is the ability to completely customise sessions. You can select from a mix of methodologies and purpose-built modules to tailor your brainstorming session to reach your goal. Plus, its intuitive interface is easy to use and guides you along the way.

Can I use collaborative brainstorming remotely?

Yes, you can! Anyone can join from anywhere, all they’ll need is a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or PC.

Is it possible to customize my questions?

Of course! Every unique mix of methodologies and modules can be customized, so you can create a session just right for what you’re looking to achieve.

Can I participate offline and is there a timer?

Not yet. But this feature is in the works! One day you will be able, even offline, to participate in pre-scheduled brainstorming sessions via our platform.

Can I start a brainstorm session on my own?

Not yet. We are working to develop this feature though and one day soon you will be able to go solo with your ideation.

When I set-up a brief, will it be sent to the other participants?

After you create your brainstorm, you can select the people you want to conduct the brainstorm with and invite them to your session. They will receive access to the brief once they log into the platform using the link in your invite.

Will I be able to download the results afterwards?

No, but once a brainstorming session is finished, your collected creative sparks are all stored and organized as an interactive report in the platform. Want to access results from a previous brainstorming session? That’s easy! Find an overview of all past brainstorms on your homepage in the platform.

Do I need to receive an invitation to participate in a brainstorming session?

Yes, you do! Participating in a brainstorming session is only possible when a facilitator invites you to join. Each participant will receive a unique joining link via his/her email address, that can be used along with their email address to log in. (Note, participants must use the email address that received the invite to log in.)
